Roly that's not true. It's just you're not like some of the exhibitors that were at the Melbourne Show (Tony-Lakatoi4 is an exception) who were pompous, look how much this cost types.

I'd love to see a special thread on your 1d Universals and Dominions, just like that other place.

At the risk of possibly offending some people I will add my two bobs worth about GOMC Exhibition..

As someone who has never really been interested in philatelic exhibitions I actually have come to like the GOMC one..I particularly like the idea of one or three pages just like you have already undertaken..To me a huge sixteen page exhibit would more than likely turn me right off..Just too much for my old brain Im afraid.. Shocked Shocked
I have enjoyed looking at all the exhibits here both serious and fun.. Grin
And I appreciate the work that has gone into them..

And yes I actually have viewed in person a "real exhibition" .... Roll Eyes

If the idea is to get people to try exhibiting here then I think a larger format would kill off any newbie that was thinking yeah Ill join in and give it a try...Why not its only for fun..

Maybe have a seperate large format exhibit just for the "experts" ???

Please people don't be offended....just my personal thoughts on the subject... Cool

Yes I agree with all the above - When you look at the votes it was a close thing all round and the winner was not decided till the last day of voting.

Well done everyone and I will work out dates for the next one.

Congratulations to EVERYONE who entered, you are all winners, and lets face it the votes were not too far appart.lowest 7. highest 11.

Rolys New Zealand was a Deserved Number one, Smiley

but what I liked about the other entries was the Diversity of subject matter, especially Jubilee,s "Story Behind the cover," I thought was well handled and to be able to produce 3 out of one, takes some doing,

Skippys entry "Fantastic Plastic".was a Difficult one to tackle, but Skippy provided all the info on her 3 sheets, and made it interesting and attractive,to look at,

Arls chose a difficult field, because of the newness of the material, there is not a lot that she could actually show,as the censors pen would have been out and about "Post Haste"

Tonys Opals, showed us not only the Opals but how the Holograms were produced, 2 for one is always good value.

And Jubilees Breman entry on the old Liner had it all Stamps,Covers ,Postcards, and a History.

So WELL DONE EVERYONE, it was a joy to behold, and I can,t wait for the next one.
