Hi everyone!

It is high time that I said “Hallo”!
How thrilling, that my Purple People won the first competition! I like the colour purple, that’s how it started, I think. The collection is only small in a very little book and fed mainly from junk boxes…
I liked the war envelopes and the NZ stamps very much, and the cancellations. And I would like to spend more time participating on this board, but my studies take priority in the moment, as much as I dislike writing essays with thousands of words.
Where the competition is concerned, I think it is a great way to see what everybody else collects.  And I hope there will be many more.

Just by way of general comment on all entries, which were ALL GOOD,

The reason I gave my votes to the ones I did,was the fact that they looked like they had been prepared for THIS exhibition,
whereas the others "Could" have been pages pulled from a Collection.

I would be interested in others points of view, Wink

I'd say that's a valid point. I can only speak for myself, but I cobbled mine together in an hour or so from stamps I had around. There's no way on God's green earth that my collection is that organised!!  Grin

I'm just waiting for His Holiness to announce a 6-page exhibit thread. I am SO ready.....

Congrats to KAROLA!   Smiley

When I voted, I looked at the content and eye appeal:
1. Content: is it of interest, does it capture your attention. etc
2. Balanced presentation that was easy on the eye, ie. stamps evenly spaced and balanced from left to right so that the page doesnt look lopsided.

Was great viewing, so I'll have to get off my backside and enter next time!!  Wink

Congratulations Karola, Woody and Jubilee
Smiley Smiley

I loved all the entries, it was hard to choose who to vote for.
I agree with Karola that it is a great way to see what people collect and how they group the stamps together.

Looking foreward to seeing what Exhibition 2 brings
